School Programs & Operations Levy Renewal

Hockinson School District has a renewal School Programs and Operations (SP&O) levy measure on the ballot on February 10, 2026.

The Levy at a Glance

 

​➡️ Renewal, not a new tax. This measure renews the existing School Programs & Operations (SP&O) levy—there is no new tax.​

​

➡️ Protects essential programs the state doesn’t fully fund. Maintains career and technical education, hands-on learning, technology access, and advanced coursework that prepare students for college and today’s workforce.​

​

➡️ Maintains class sizes and quality staffing. Supports retention of highly qualified teachers and essential support staff, including paraeducators, nurses, counselors, and specialists.   

​

➡️ Sustains arts, athletics, and academic programs not funded by the state. Supports programs like high school theater, middle school football, and elementary music and art classes.​

➡️ Keeps schools safe and fully operational. Funds transportation, security, communication systems, building maintenance, and modern learning tools needed for daily operations.​

​

➡️ Strengthens the entire Hockinson community. Strong schools help protect property values and keep Hockinson a vibrant, desirable place to live benefiting all residents, not just families with students.
